We made it! We are now half way through the school year and I am seeing great improvement from students’ work ethic and their reading scores. Their report card will go home this Thursday January 29th. They will need their envelopes signed and returned to school. If they return it back the next day they will earn 2 yagerbucks! Please look over the report card with your child and discuss the grades so they know what they are earning. Thank you for doing so!
Secondly, we are working on a mini-research project that is supposed to be done at home and will be given sometime in the class to do research. Putting the project together needs to be done at home. Students will be using computers here to find research, as I know not everyone student has access to computers at home. It is supposed to be a high-level thinking project, but supposed to be fun and creative to do. Please, if you have any questions e-mail me or send a note into school.
I am sure you all have noticed we started a new math curriculum called Engaged New York. Therefore, it comes with math homework every night. We always do a problem set in the class, which is just like the homework so the students should know what they are doing.
I hope everyone has a great weekend,
Mrs. Yager
