I am very sorry, but my first post never posted!! I spent time typing it all up so you can see what we did this past week and I am so bummed that is never saved! This past week was great getting to know each and everyone of your children. Everyone is unique and special in their own. Last week the students learned my rules and procedures and how the classroom runs. We also did PBIS lessons which is a behavior system for the entire school. We will continue practicing this week so the children don't forget our expectations. Students earn YagerBucks for positive behavior and when I catch them doing something good. The students really enjoy earning them! Maybe ask your child after school how many they earned for the day or week? We also did lots of testing to figure out where I should place your child in math and reading group.
A few tips to help give your child success in the classroom:
1. Bring homework folder to and from school everyday! (They will be on the recess wall if it is not signed)
2. Come to class on time! (We start math right away and it can be hard for the child to catch up if they come half way through the lesson)
THanks for reading my blog weekly,
Mrs. Yager
