It has been a great week getting to know all the students of Yagerville:) I have learned very quickly that Potterville is a great place to be and work because of the students, staff, and parents. I want to thank all of the parents for helping your child get all the school supplies they needed for class and turning in important documents, permission slips, and field trip money. This is a reminder to have your child turn in emergency cards, parent-contact information, and field trip information if they haven't already done so. As a heads up, next week, the fourth grade teachers will be sending home a letter asking parents to send in a pair of headphones for their child as we now have access to our own computers. I know it can be expensive at the beginning of the school year with everything to buy so if you can't purchase a pair right away, I wil hopefully have a couple pair in the class to borrow. The students were very excited this week being introduced to their own computer to use in the classroom. I am very excited we have this opportunity as there are many resources to use on the computer during their math and reading intervention times where students will have sound and can't interupt other students. They also have enjoyed earning "yager bucks" for positve behavior. It is a great incentive for the child to be motivated in their school work and to follow school rules. Lastly, I am looking for any parent-volunteers who would like to stuff folders, make copies, and grade papers. Please e-mail me if you are interested.
Thank you for your support to make a successful school year,
Mrs. Yager
PS. Please remind your child to return their red homework folder everyday!!
